Blog Post 1: Introduction
Hello, my name is Jillana. I’m majoring in Environmental Science. My main goal at LaGuardia, probably everyone’s, is to get my associate’s degree. Outside of academics, most of my hobbies are creative, like crocheting, drawing, and painting. I find them to be relaxing and a good way to kill time. A big reason I choose more creative hobbies is that it feels rewarding when you finish a project. I’m not always consistent with them, but I love picking either of those three hobbies when I feel like it. Lately, I’ve been crocheting more, but I’ve also been wanting to get into knitting for a while now. Another thing I like to do in my free time is watch Formula 1. I find cars driving on weirdly shaped tracks to be entertaining. The technical aspects of Formula 1 can also be interesting when you learn more about the skill and design behind a car.

Hi Jillana, welcome to the class! This is so interesting. I wonder if you see overlap between your interest in environmental science and car/road design.

Hello Professor, I never thought of that specific overlap and that does have me considering possible opportunities out there.
